Begin with the work veterans can use today
Operation MOS does not replace mentors, nonprofit counselors, recruiters, or employer partners. It gives them a better starting point: clearer language and a veteran who is less stuck before the conversation begins. The veteran-facing layer stays free; partner work should strengthen that layer rather than create another gate around it.
What a responsible partnership can test
Start with a stronger veteran-facing foundation
Operation MOS gives veterans a free place to translate experience, prepare materials, and identify the next task before a counselor or partner conversation begins.
Keep consent ahead of access
A veteran should understand what is shared, with whom, and why before any partner workflow asks for access. That standard comes before reporting or program administration.
Test the fit with a defined cohort
A small pilot can clarify where the tools help, where human support still matters, and which workflows deserve more investment before anyone makes a broad promise.
Contribute expertise, not a sales funnel
Nonprofits, employers, and funders can validate role language, hiring pathways, and practical support while veteran access remains free.
Consent-first pilots
We are looking for nonprofits to refer veterans and validate where the product fits, employers to validate role language and hiring pathways, and funders to help keep the first layer free. Start with a defined cohort, a clear purpose, and veteran choice at every point where information could be shared.
The goal is learning, not a polished dashboard story. Broader partner workflows should follow only after the pilot establishes that they are useful, understandable, and safe for veterans.
Support that helps keep the work free
Operation MOS receives cloud technology and startup resources through Microsoft for Startups. That support helps us operate and improve the infrastructure behind our free veteran-facing tools. Participation in the program does not imply Microsoft endorsement of Operation MOS.
The veteran stays in control
No partner access to personal information without clear consent. No sensitive official records are required just to use the product. No employment guarantees. Support comes from organizations that want to strengthen a transition system — never from a veteran's panic.
Start a small, consent-first pilot.
Refer a small cohort, validate role language, or help fund free veteran access. A short email is the right place to begin.
